A4. Publishing and marketing of books

A. Marketingpriority: mediumenergy: medium

Books as a deliberate workstream. 1 published, more planned. Long-form articulation of the practice philosophy. Distinct from A1 social/A2 website/A3 network but reshapes all of them.

Original ask (Dishant's words, 2026-05-08)

"add an a4. publishing and marketting of my books. currently ahve 1 but will start with others soon."

What this is

A fourth marketing agenda that goes beyond promotion: NGA / Dishant as a publishing identity. Not a one-off book launch — a recurring stream of works. Current state (as of 2026-05-08):

  • 1 book exists
  • More are planned
  • Publishing and marketing of these books is now a deliberate workstream

Why this matters beyond "another agenda"

A book changes the shape of the practice in specific ways worth naming:

  1. Long-form philosophy. The practice philosophy (impact over fear) needs a long-form articulation. Books are where that lives.
  2. Highest-credibility lead magnet. A reader of the book is a warmer prospect than a reader of a single LinkedIn post. Strengthens B1 (Lead pipeline).
  3. Recurring-revenue asset. Once written, it sells in the background — economics distinct from billed CA hours.
  4. Credibility loop. Author → speaker → conference visibility → inbound network growth (A3) → inbound leads (B1).
  5. Reshapes neighbours. A2 (Website) gains a publishing surface. A1 (Social) gains book-derived content. A3 (Network) gains "signed copy on milestone occasions."

Authorship (decided 2026-05-08)

Books are authored by Dishant Goel personally, not institutionally as Nexus Growth Advisors. NGA is the practice; Dishant is the author. The two are linked but distinct. This decision has downstream implications worth naming:

  • The books and their marketing carry Dishant's name and voice. NGA appears as the author's practice, not as the publisher.
  • Author platform assets (speaking, podcasts, guest articles) accrue to Dishant personally and feed back into NGA via the practice's reputation.
  • Long-term, this creates a deliberate dual identity: NGA the firm has institutional continuity; Dishant the author carries the public voice.
  • The website (A2) likely needs to host both — NGA as the firm, with a clear author/books surface for Dishant. Decision deferred to A2 chat.
  • Succession: as NGA grows beyond Dishant, the author identity remains personal and does not transfer. NGA continues without it.

Open question (2026-05-08)

Are the books "by Dishant Goel" or "by Nexus Growth Advisors" / institutional authorship? Resolved: Dishant Goel.

Scope of A4

  1. Existing book — ongoing publishing and marketing. Title, ISBN, distribution channels, royalty tracking, sales reporting to be captured.
  2. Pipeline of upcoming books — working titles, target audience, status (idea / outlined / drafting / editing / published).
  3. Marketing system — launch playbook, ongoing promotion, integration with A1 (book-derived content), A2 (website book pages), A3 (gifted copies, signed copies for network).
  4. Author platform — speaking engagements, podcasts, guest articles — assets that flow from being an author.

Approach

Like all agendas under module A, the content (book copy, marketing language, author voice) lives here. The dispatch (publishing posts, sending copies, emailing buyers) is the E9 pattern.

Voice

Voice and approach: see Practice philosophy. The books are the long-form articulation of "impact creators, not fear creators." Marketing of the books should never slip into testimonial-and-bestseller language; it should name what the reader is living.

Notes

To be added once A4 chat opens — starting with: which book is the existing one? What's its current state (in print, ebook, both)? What's the next book in mind?

Critical Path Analysis / Operations frameworks

  • Critical Path Method (CPM) Made Simple: A Complete Guide — PM Aspirant, Mar 2025. PMP-prep technical tutorial. Covers network diagrams, four PDM dependencies (FS / SS / FF / SF), Total vs Free Float, Lead and Lag, Plus-Minus-One method, Zero-Day method, forward/backward pass. Use for: locking the formal CPM mechanics referenced in the Extended CPM framework conceptual document (L2). The four-dependency taxonomy and lag concept are directly applicable to MSME operations modelling. Added by Cowork 2026-05-28.
  • Network Diagram | CPM | PERT | Project Management | OMSM | Palak Sharma — CMA Junction (Palak Sharma), CMA / OMSM curriculum tutorial. Covers network diagrams and CPM/PERT integration. Surfaced the insight that the operational critical path should also be visualised as a Gantt chart (with critical-path bars highlighted) — the bridge between the technical network diagnostic and the owner-facing one-page deliverable. To be incorporated in v0.4 of the Extended CPM framework as a standard output of Step 1. Added by Cowork 2026-05-28.
